Service Description

The Caldwell Collection is a private, nonprofit, museum open on a limited basis by appointment. We currently do not charge for admission, but donations to support the museum are welcome. We are only able to accommodate visits when we have volunteer staff available to host them, as there is no paid staff. We hope that as our volunteer team increases, we will be able to accommodate more visitors in the future. The museum’s collection is a flying one. We regularly fly our airplanes! We will publish a schedule of flying activities for the following quarter every ninety days. Please note that the museum cannot offer “rides” in our airplanes. Guidelines for visits out of respect for you, our volunteers, and the antique treasures we house are available on our "What to Know" page. These are only intended to complement your common sense and allow a fun, inspirational and enjoyable visit for as many people as possible. We can only accommodate a few visitors at a time so we respectfully request that if you have a scheduled visit and can not make it for any reason that you let us know so we can make it available to others. No-show appointments will not be rescheduled. We cannot accommodate unscheduled visits. In scheduling your visit we require that you provide us your name, address, telephone number and email address as well as the number in your party. Requests with incomplete information cannot be honored. Special provision for groups larger that five are necessary so please schedule as far in advance as possible so we can do everything possible to accommodate your request. We love to show our airplanes to kids! Children are absolutely welcome, but we must ask that each child under the age of six be accompanied on a 1:1 basis by an adult. Strollers cannot be used inside the building. Visitors should park in the parking lot at the southeast corner of the building. Under no circumstances should you park on the grass or on the airport ramps at either end of the building. Then please come to the museum entrance on the east side of the building at the appointed time to begin your tour. Do not attempt to enter the building through the hangar doors. Persons entering the facility anywhere other than the entry will be asked to leave.

Cancellation Policy

The Caldwell Collection is a private nonprofit museum, open by appointment on a limited basis. At this time, there is no admission fee, though donations to support the museum are always appreciated. Because our museum is staffed entirely by volunteers, visits are only possible when hosts are available. As our volunteer team grows, we hope to welcome more visitors in the future. Our collection is unique in that it is a flying one—we regularly fly these historic aircraft. A quarterly schedule of flying activities will be published every 90 days. Please note, however, that the museum cannot provide airplane rides. For your visit, we ask that you review our “What to Know” page. These guidelines are in place to respect your safety, our volunteers’ time, and the rare treasures in our care. They are designed to complement common sense so everyone can enjoy an inspiring and memorable experience. Because we can only host a small number of guests at a time, please notify us if you need to cancel your appointment so others may have the opportunity to visit. Missed appointments without notice cannot be rescheduled. We are unable to accommodate unscheduled visits. When scheduling, please provide your full name, address, telephone number, email, and the number of guests in your party. Incomplete requests cannot be confirmed. Groups of more than five require special arrangements, so please contact us well in advance to allow time for planning. Children are welcome! We love sharing aviation with the next generation. For safety, each child under six must be accompanied by an adult on a 1:1 basis. Strollers are not permitted inside the museum hangar. Parking is located in the southeast corner lot of the building. Please do not park on the grass or on the airport ramps. Enter the museum through the designated entrance on the east side of the building at your scheduled time. For everyone’s safety, entry through hangar doors is not permitted.
